Call for Talents
SHORT ENCOUNTER is a transnational project for emerging filmmakers from Flensburg and Odense – become part of the 25th Flensburg Short Film Days from 17.–22. November 2026, connect with creatives across the border, exchange ideas and develop a new short film project!
On November 19, three young filmmakers from Flensburg and Odense will come together for an exchange and collaboration. The programme combines informal exchange as well as workshops led by Mette Bihl and Peter James from the Filmværksted Odense to develop an initial idea into a short film concept and pitch as an international tandem.
At the end of the workshop day, the teams will present their projects to a jury of film and industry experts, who will select the winning project. This project will receive DKK 5,000 in production support from the Filmværksted Odense to help realise the short film.
The project offers participants the opportunity to:
- meet and collaborate with young filmmakers from across the German-Danish border,
- get accredited for the Flensburg Short Film Days,
- gain experience in pitching a film project to a professional jury and
- expand the professional network in the transnational film community.
Who can apply?
We are looking for three filmmakers from the Odense Filmværksted as well as three filmmakers from the Flensburg region who are interested in developing a short film project, are available to participate on the 18th and 19th November and are comfortable communicating in English.
